Zach Bryan doesn’t want to be filmed on a night out to the bar.
The 28-year-old country star got into an argument with a fellow patron at a bar in New York City on Feb. 19 after playing pool, according to a video published by TMZ earlier this week.
In the clip, filmed on the other patron’s Ray-Ban Meta glasses, Bryan asked about the high-tech spectacles and said, “I want to rip them off your face so bad because we’re at a bar.”

The “Something in the Orange” musician then tried on the glasses for himself and said in the video, “You’re going to see some terrible things tonight.”
TMZ reported Bryan lost several games of pool in a row during the outing, and the clip sees him appear to get frustrated with the man wearing the glasses for continuing to film.
The fellow patron said to Bryan, “I’m taking videos of my friends. I don’t care about you. I don’t care about you and your f—ing friends, okay? I’m taking videos of me and my friends so that we can cherish them as fond memories.”

“I’m not trying to record your ass, dude. I’m trying to record my friends for memories that I want to have, to have fun,” the man continued. “It has nothing to do with you, and you’re just being a f—ing douche. You’re seriously just being a d—.”
Bryan responded, “That’s the gayest thing I’ve ever heard.”
The Grammy winner then walked away as one of the other people asked, “Why is that gay?”
A rep for Bryan did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Previously, the “I Remember Everything” artist has shown support to the LGBTQ+ community by condemning fellow country stars who were “insulting transgender people” amid the controversy surrounding Bud Light’s 2023 collaboration with influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Last year, Bryan and Brianna LaPaglia broke up after going public with their relationship in July 2023. At the time, LaPaglia said she felt “blindsided” by Bryan’s social media announcement of the split and claimed he emotionally abused her during their relationship.
The same day LaPaglia accused Bryan of emotional abuse in November, he released the song “This World’s a Giant” followed by another, “High Road,” which seemed to be about about his mother’s death.
