Sebastian Korda has consistently risen in the rankings since turning pro in 2018, and his girlfriend, Ivana Nedv?d, has been along for much of the journey.
After Korda and Nedv?d debuted their relationship on social media in 2021, the tennis star opened up about their similar backgrounds. Both have famous Czech athletes as parents: Korda’s father is former tennis professional and Grand Slam champion Petr Korda, and his mother is Olympian tennis player Regina Rajchrtová.
Meanwhile, Nedv?d’s father is former professional soccer star Pavel Nedv?d, whose nearly two-decade career solidified him as one of the country’s legends.
The younger Korda is carving out a successful career, with a singles and doubles title on the ATP tour. In terms of their relationship, he believes Nedv?d’s upbringing in a famous sports family has been helpful.
“The best thing is she understands sports which is great,” Korda explained in an interview with Daily Express in 2024. “She understands how difficult it is to be a professional athlete and that there’s a lot of sacrifices.”
He continued, “She’s an amazing partner to have and I’m very lucky to have someone that just understands it and always is trying to be there and just always being there is probably the biggest key.”

According to her LinkedIn profile, Nedv?d graduated from Glion Institute of Higher Education with a bachelor’s degree in events, sport and entertainment with a specialization in luxury brand management.
She also holds a master’s in international marketing from King’s College and has worked with major brands, including Alpha Romeo and the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI). Currently, she’s an intern at Condé Nast Italia.

Nedv?d has a significant social media presence with nearly 82,000 Instagram followers. Her content mainly covers topics related to fashion, food and travel.
Nedv?d also shares posts of her spending time with Korda whenever he’s not practicing or competing on the tennis court.
In honor of his birthday in 2023, she wrote a heartfelt message alongside a selfie of them in Paris.

Nedv?d is the daughter of former Czech soccer legend Pavel.
Widely considered one of the greatest players in Czech Republic history, Pavel won with premier Italian clubs Lazio and Juventus. He also amassed major accolades like the Ballon d’Or in 2003, the Golden Foot award in 2004, six Golden Balls and four Czech Footballer of the Year titles.
Similarly, Korda’s dad, Petr, is a Czech former professional tennis player who won 10 singles titles and 10 doubles titles on the ATP tour. He famously won the Australian Open in 1998 in straight sets and peaked at No. 2 in the world.
Korda’s mom is Regina Rajchrtová, another Czech former pro tennis player who won a doubles title on the 1989 WTA tour. Away from the soccer field and tennis court, Sebastian’s older sisters, Jessica and Nelly, are professional golfers on the LGPA tour. Most recently, Nelly also won gold in golf at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The 2023 Australian Open was special for the Korda family: It was 25 years since Petr won his only Grand Slam at the same tournament.
Korda also made an impressive run, defeating 2022 Australian Open runner-up Daniil Medvedev in a second-round upset. After the match, cameras captured an emotional Nedv?d in the stands celebrating his victory.

Professional tennis players spend a significant amount of time traveling due to the global nature of the tour, with events on different continents and across various countries throughout the year.
Nedv?d is never far from Korda’s side and often shares photos from multiple tournaments. Her social media feeds also feature several posts of her and Korda during downtime or on vacation from locations like Paris, Turin, Prague, Rome, Melbourne and Monaco.
Speaking to Daily Express in 2024, Korda expressed how much he enjoys their getaways.
“I’m very appreciative whenever she comes and we have a lot of fun together,” he said. “She takes my mind off of tennis, and we have fun and can relax and go sightseeing a little bit and just be normal in a way.”
Korda added, “When you’re outside the tennis courts, it’s massive for any athlete just to take their mind off of things and just be fresh and ready to go whenever you go back out there and practice.”
She is close to her brother
Nedv?d has constantly referred to her brother, Pavel Nedv?d Jr., as her twin and the two have leaned on each other through different stages of their lives.
Nedv?d was in attendance when her sibling graduated with a degree in sport management from Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid in 2024. He refers to her as his “everyday sunshine,” and she also posts sweet messages dedicated to him.
“Happy birthday to the best part of me ??? hope we will forever laugh like this, even though we had no teeth.?I miss you @pavelnedvedjr.,” she wrote on Instagram in 2022.
