‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Goes Viral After Hilarious ‘Missolve’ ArticlePure

A Wheel of Fortune contestant has gone viral for his hilarious “missolve.”

On the Monday, Nov. 11 episode of the show, contestant Will attempted to solve the puzzle “Give yourself a round of applause.”

With just a few squares missing, however, Will incorrectly guessed, “Treat yourself a round of sausage,” per a clip shared on X (formerly known as Twitter).

After Will’s wrong guess, his fellow contestant Kitina answered correctly.

“Will, I kind of like yours better,” host Ryan Seacrest joked afterward, adding, “That sounds better than just clapping right now.”

On Instagram, the show’s social correspondent, Maggie Sajak, 29, spoke to Will following the incorrect guess.

“Alright Will, we had a little missolve in the first game… that’s okay, could you walk me through how you’re feeling?” she asked in a clip.

“I tell you, when the lights are on, and you know, the stars and Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White… I just went blank,” Will insisted.

“But, if your dad, in retirement, is watching this show, maybe cracks a beer and gets a laugh, it was worth it,” he jokingly added about Sajak’s dad, former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak.

Sajak insisted, “I will make sure that we tune in that night, okay? That’s a promise.”

“Awesome. And I’m sure I’m gonna have sausages in my locker and police car when I get back, so we’ll try and have some fun with it,” Will replied, referencing his job.

Sajak joked the contestant was “already getting some benefits from this,” as Seacrest appeared with a cue card to sign for Will’s family in the video.

“Playing Wheel of Fortune on stage is a whole different ball game than playing at home, but Will was a great sport about his missolve! #misssolve #WheelOfFortune,” the show captioned the post.

Seacrest took over from Pat Sajak back in September, and he quickly learned the ropes thanks to some advice from longtime Wheel of Fortune star, Vanna White.

“She said, ‘Just go out there and have fun and be yourself,’ ” Seacrest told PEOPLE at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Sept. 20 following his debut on Sept. 9.

“The good thing about this game show is that you get to be yourself,” he added. “It has a little looseness to it. It doesn’t have to be so strict and so formatted. It has those moments of real life and humanity.”

Seacrest said that he and White, 67 — who has been on Wheel of Fortune since 1982 — “have known each other for two decades.”

“We’re friends, which has made it really, really nice and comfortable,” he said.
