Tom Welling has stepped out for the first time following his arrest for driving under the influence.
On Sunday, Feb. 8, the Smallville star, 47, took part in “The Many Faces of Superman: A Tribute to the Man of Steel” panel at MegaCon, which also featured Tyler Hoechlin, Dean Cain, George Newbern, Tim Daly and Brandon Routh.
It marked the actor’s first public appearance since he was arrested in Yreka, Calif., on Jan. 26.
For the event, Welling kept things casual by wearing a black T-shirt and dark-colored jeans, which he paired with a black hat and colorful sneakers.
According to an arrest and booking report obtained by USA Today, Welling was taken into custody around 2 a.m. local time last month. The police said that he had a blood alcohol level at or above the legal limit of .08%.
Per the outlet, the actor was released around 7 a.m. and an arraignment date has been scheduled for March 11.
Prior to his arrest, Welling — who is most famous for his portrayal of Superman (a.k.a. Clark Kent) on the CW series for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2011.
Later on Feb. 8, Welling is expected to reunite with his Smallville costars — Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor), Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang) and Erica Durance (Lois Lane) — for the “Somebody Save Me: Smallville Cast” panel, followed by “Smallville Nights,” which will see Welling and Rosenbaum reading iconic scenes from the series.
