Selena Gomez is looking back at her career.

The Only Murders in the Building actress, 32, shared a sweet audition video from when she was younger on Instagram on Tuesday, March 18.

“We’re not getting any younger,” she captioned the video, using a lyric from “Younger and Hotter Than Me,” a song off I Said I Love You First, her collaborative project with her fiancé Benny Blanco.

In the video, Gomez talks to executives on an audition. “We play around like, ‘I’m Selena and you’re watching Disney Channel.’ We draw it all the time,” she said, pretending to recreate the early aughts commercials in which the network’s biggest stars would pretend to draw Mickey Mouse ears with a magic wand.

In the background, an adult tells her, “You know what? You might not be too far off. You never know, right?”

The wording of the video, plus the young talent’s appearance, indicates it’s likely before Gomez became a Disney channel sweetheart with Wizards of Waverly Place at 14 years old.

Another part of the audition video shows Gomez explaining, “I’m trying to get into my singing career or my acting career.”

She confirms that she does sing but, “I have vocal lessons and stuff like that.”

“I want to do that when I get older. I want to be both.”

The last part of the audition video features Gomez explaining, “It’s not that I don’t care if I don’t get this — it’d be awesome, it’d be a fun experience. But I’m not going to cry if I don’t get it.”

Gomez’s cousin, Priscilla DeLeon, wrote, “Just a little girl from the Northside of Grand Prairie who never let go of her dreams. I love you sooo much. ?”

Gomez first appeared on Disney Channel in 2006 in a small role on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. In 2007, she began a recurring role on Hannah Montana as another pop star named Mikayla. It was during this time that she began working on Wizards of Waverly Place.
