Over the half-century that Saturday Night Live has been on the air, hundreds of the most famous celebrities on the planet have arrived on the Studio 8H stage to host the show or perform as that week’s musical guest. And dozens of them arrived in New York City Feb. 16 to celebrate the iconic comedy show’s 50 years on the air.
Celebrations for the show’s anniversary have been going on for months, culminating in a series of documentaries about the show itself; the star-studded SNL50 concert at Radio City Music Hall on Feb. 14, and a live SNL50: The Anniversary Special show from Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Center that will have “every famous person in the universe” in attendance, according to cast member Mikey Day.
Watch the red carpet live starting at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and on the SNL social media handles, and then tune into the live special at 8 p.m. on NBC and Peacock. And in the meantime, see all the famous faces who showed up to celebrate SNL.
