At the time of their nuptials, Bush Hager, 43, was the first daughter of a sitting United States president to marry in 16 years. The two began dating while her father, George W. Bush, was in office.

Speaking of their first kiss, Bush Hager said, “It was to Lil’ Troy, a song we can’t say on TV. Lil’ Troy was a rapper back in the day. We were dancing and all of a sudden, you shot your shot.”

“I mean, well, I don’t think you can say that on the 10 a.m. hour of television, but, I went in for the kiss,” her husband, 46, responded.

After Bush Hager told him he could say that, she explained that “what happened later” was something he could not say.

As the television personality introduced the next segment, her husband shook his head and laughed, saying, “That didn’t happen.”

“I guess it just depends how we remember it. You didn’t do the walk of shame out of the White House?” said Bush Hager, causing her husband to blush and respond, “Honey.” The two are parents to daughters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.
