Jessica Szohr is gushing about her maid of honor, Nina Dobrev.
The Gossip Girl alum, 39, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, shortly after she tied the knot with former Vancouver Canucks player Brad Richardson.
“The best MOH!” Szohr captioned a carousel of images featuring Dobrev at the wedding. “I can’t thank you enough Nina (sick in a good way)! You went above and beyond- and I was so thrilled to have you by my side:)”
Szohr continued: “You were thoughtful and creative! You were charming and funny (as usual)! Picking fun places with such fun gifts for everyone when we arrived:) you have been there with me through thick and thin for almost 2 decades… so thank you… thank you Nina for all you’ve done throughout our friendship- but especially for all the wedding events;)”
“You outdid yourself … going through a surgery, had a movie coming out, redoing a house, and being such an amazing friend through everything. For real- love you more than you will ever know!” Szohr wrote, adding that Dobrev’s reception speech was “next level.”
“You just kept serving us with good energy, and good times;) thank you sister,” she added.
Szohr played Vanessa Abrams on Gossip Girl during the same years Dobrev was starring as Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries.

Dobrev was one of several CW stars who attended Szohr and Richardson’s scenic wedding at the luxury golf club Pine Canyon in Flagstaff, Ariz. surrounded by 150 of their closest family and friends.
The bride wore three different Galia Lahav gowns for the big day, including the designer’s Tokyogown, which was described in a press release to PEOPLE as “a fashion-forward, bold look” that “perfectly” reflected “her personality.” Szohr paired the dress with a custom veil, designed by Galia Lahav head designer Sharon Sever that also featured a special quote from her grandfather embellished in crystals that read: “Take Time to Smell the Roses.”
Dobrev, as Maid of Honor, wore a Galia Lahav Elise dress in custom sage green.
Szohr and Richardson went Instagram-official in 2019 and welcomed their first child together, daughter Bowie Ella Richardson, almost two years later on Jan. 11, 2021.
The couple joyfully announced their engagement in May 2022 with a black-and-white image on Instagram with the her diamond ring on full display.
