Tom Daley has a new sweater to wear with his 2024 Paris Olympics silver medal.
The British diver, 30, who worked on a knitting project while watching the competition, finally revealed his finished creation in an Instagram Video on Wednesday, July 31.
The video began with a shirtless Daley holding up the red, blue, and white sweater near his face as he explained, “We got ‘Paris 24’ on the front with the French and the British flag on the bottom, and ‘Daley’ on the back.”

After putting it on, he shows off some of its many details, including his initials ‘TD’ on the left sleeve and the number five “for Olympics number five” on the other sleeve.
The Olympian, who first went viral after knitting during the Tokyo Olympics, said his latest creation had a “nice boxy fit,” adding, “It’s always so fun to have this as a little bit of a memory from my time here in Paris. But I think it’s cute. What do you think?”
The sweater was also showcased on the Instagram account of the athlete’s knitwear clothing company, Made with Love by Tom Daley.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 17, Daley teased that he would be working on a sweater while in Paris.
“My 5th Olympics is underway! I just wanted to jump in here and say a big thank you for all the support, and to let you know that we have so many exciting things coming up for #madewithlove,” he wrote next to sketches of his creation.
Daley came out of retirement to win silver alongside Noah Williams for Team Great Britain in the men’s synchronized 10-meter platform at the Paris Aquatics Center on Monday, July 29.
Dustin Lance Black, Daley’s husband, opened up to BBC Sport about how it felt getting to witness the win with their two sons.
“I’ve seen the amount of work and love that he put into it this time. It was at a different level. And I know it’s cause of these guys and them getting to see him dive today was so special already, just arriving here,” he said.
While speaking with Olympics.com, Daley discussed whether the 2024 Paris Olympics will officially be his last time competing on the world stage.
“Who knows you know? I’ll definitely be there,” he said about the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. “I don’t know in what capacity – anything can happen in four years. I’m an old man already. I’ll be 34 then so yeah, we’ll see.”
