Savannah Chrisley Says Dad Todd Is ‘Jacked’ in First Video Since Prison ArticlePure

Todd Chrisley is showing off his new physique after being released from prison.

Todd, 56, was seen for the first time since his prison release on Wednesday, May 28, in a video posted by his daughter Savannah Chrisley on her Instagram Stories. He and wife Julie Chrisley received a full pardon from President Donald Trump just one day prior.

In the clip, Savannah, 27, could be seen filming her father in the rear seat of a car as they headed home from picking him up from prison in Florida.

“What are you trying to get me to do?” Savannah asked her dad as she kept his face out of shot on the camera.

“Feel that muscle,” Todd replied as he held out his arm. Savannah then touched her father’s bicep and responded, “Oh yeah, feel the muscle! I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard.”

“Todd is jacked,” Todd added as Savannah then panned the camera to the driver’s seat, where her best friend and hair stylist Tyler Bishop could be seen at the wheel.

“@toddchrisley is JACKED,” she captioned the video.

In a previous post on her Instagram Stories, Savannah filmed herself in the back of the car and told the camera, “We’re getting home. As I puke all the way,” while holding a white plastic bag and wearing a pink “Make America Great Again” hat.

She then laughed and added, “I’ve got Todd over here being dramatic,” as someone in the background laughed.

Todd could then be heard saying, “I can smell it … I didn’t have to deal with this in prison,” as they both laughed.

“Todd is no help,” wrote Savannah across the post. “Help…”

PEOPLE previously reported how Savannah and her brother Grayson Chrisley were splitting the pick-up of their parents from prison.

A source told PEOPLE on May 28 that while Savannah was picking Todd up from FPC Pensacola in Florida, Grayson, 19, was retrieving Julie from FMC Lexington in Kentucky.

Todd and Julie were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022, after first being indicted in 2019. They reported to prison in January 2023 to serve a combined 19 years behind bars, but later saw their sentences reduced.

President Donald Trump announced on May 27 that he had granted the reality stars full pardons.

Speaking with the couple’s children via a phone call, Trump, 78, said he’d heard Todd and Julie were “terrific people” who were “given a pretty harsh treatment, based on what I’m hearing.”

“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” the president said, adding that he hoped they’d be released “by tomorrow.”

Trump added, “I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them good luck.”

In an Instagram Live on May 27, Savannah — who had been advocating for her parents’ release — reacted to the news of their presidential pardon by saying she was “speechless” and “freaking out.”

“I will forever be grateful for President Trump, his administration and everyone along the way — all of my lawyers, the people who put in countless hours and effort and love for my family to make sure my parents get home,” Savannah continued. “I am eternally grateful.”

The 27-year-old also issued a statement, saying, in part, “For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home. This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”

“Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over. I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one,” she continued. “Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”

“This process has been absolutely insane and I’m just so grateful that I’m gonna leave here with my dad,” Savannah told reporters, including TMZ, on May 28 before her father’s release. “I got here at 2 a.m. last night and I have not gone to sleep … I’m just a daughter who wants to take her dad home with me.”

The Chrisley family rose to fame on their USA Network docuseries Chrisley Knows Best, which aired for 10 seasons between 2014 and 2023. PEOPLE exclusively confirmed earlier this month the family would return to TV with a new docuseries for Lifetime.
