Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is sharing one initiative Donald Trump allegedly has if elected president.
In a Saturday, Nov. 2 post to X (formerly Twitter), Kennedy, 70, wrote that Trump, 78, and his administration will remove fluoride from drinking water if he wins he 2024 presidential election, before falsely claiming that fluoride is harmful.
“On Jan. 20, the Trump White House will advise all U.S?. water systems to remove fluoride from public water. Fluoride is an industrial waste associated with arthritis, bone fractures, bone cancer, IQ loss, neurodevelopmental disorders, and thyroid disease,” Kennedy wrote.
Kennedy, who endorsed Trump in August after dropping out of the presidential race, added that Trump and Melania Trump want to “Make America Healthy Again.”
According to Healthline, fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral used for strengthening teeth and preventing cavities. When consumed in suitable amounts, it’s safe and is “added to local water supplies in many American cities.” Along with water, it is also found in soil, rocks, plants and air.
Fluoride is widely considered one of the biggest public health breakthroughs of the 20th century. In a statement shared in October, the American Dental Association said that they, along with other major health organizations “continue to endorse community water fluoridation at optimal levels to help prevent tooth decay.”
“Even in an era with widespread availability of fluoride from various sources, other studies show that community water fluoridation prevents at least 25% of tooth decay in children and adults throughout their life span.” Linda J. Edgar, D.D.S., the president of the American Dental Association, said.
“The scientific weight of sound evidence around the benefit of community water fluoridation is clear and compelling.”
At a rally in Dearborn, Mich. on Nov. 1, Trump said that Kennedy would “have a big role in health care” as part of his administration if he wins the 2024 election. He added that RFK Jr. “has some views I happen to agree with strongly and I have for a long time.”
As per NBC News, Trump told Tucker Carlson the day before during an event on Oct. 31 about how Kennedy can “do anything he wants” in the healthcare role. “He really wants to with the pesticides and the, you know, all the different things. I said, he can do it.”
“He can do anything he wants. He wants to look at the vaccines. He wants —everything. I think it’s great. I think it’s great,” he added, along with mentioning Kennedy’s potential work “on health and women’s health.”

In the past, Kennedy has pushed baseless conspiracy theories about vaccines and COVID-19. He was previously banned from Instagram for two years for spreading misinformation about the coronavirus. Kennedy’s potential role in Trump’s healthcare administration could have serious consequences.
Multiple large-scale studies have found that vaccines are safe. There is no scientific link between vaccines and autism, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
