Renée Zellweger is continuing to turn heads on the red carpet!
The actress, 55, kept it classy on Wednesday, Feb. 12, while attending the New York City premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. Zellweger’s costars Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor also attended the event at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
She wore a structured, satin ankle-length dress with a bardot top and a belted waist.
Zellweger closed-toe pumps complimented her wardrobe, which exuded 1950s glam. Her hair was pinned and makeup was flawlessly minimal.
The latest premiere adds to Zellweger’s gorgeous looks on the Bridget Jones press tour.
On Jan. 29, the Judy star wore an ultra-glam pink strapless gown from the 2000 Balmain collection to the London premiere. The body-hugging dress featured a straight-across neckline and a short train. To complement the look, the Oscar winner wore a statement ring and shiny pumps. She opted for a wavy ponytail with face-framing pieces and natural makeup.
Two days prior, Zellweger walked the carpet alongside costar Hugh Grant at the movie’s premiere in Paris.
She wore a sexy Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello one-shoulder lace dress with a scalloped neckline and thigh-high slit. Grant wore a black suit and button-up shirt — strikingly similar to what he wore at the original film’s premiere over two decades ago.
Mad About the Boy is the fourth installment of the Bridget Jones franchise. The rom-com flicks are based on the novels by Helen Fielding.
“Bridget goes back to work and even tries out the dating apps, where she’s soon pursued by a dreamy and enthusiastic younger man,” a synopsis reads. “Now juggling work, home and romance, Bridget grapples with the judgment of the perfect mums at school, worries about Billy as he struggles with the absence of his father, and engages in a series of awkward interactions with her son’s rational-to-a-fault science teacher.”
Many members of the 2001 cast, including Colin Firth and Sally Phillips, return for the newest film. Ejiofor and Woodall are new additions to the iconic franchise.
In a Jan. 15 interview with British Vogue, Zellweger opened up about reprising her role as the titular character. “It’s such an unusual experience to be able to revisit a character in different stages of her life,” adding it has been “pretty special” to have so many people relate to these characters.
In the interview, the actress also recounted her infamous wardrobe malfunction at the 2005 Academy Awards. The Carolina Herrera dress worn to the event did not make it out in one piece.
“First of all, it’s an incredible dress. I love that dress,” she said of the red strapless gown. “It’s weighted and stuffed at the bottom so that it holds its shape.”

“I remember that as we were leaving that night, a gentleman had stepped on the train,” she said, “and I kept walking in the other direction and it ripped it right off my dress.”
