Cody Rigsby is adding to his repertoire.
The Peloton instructor has crated his very own podcast which will debut this week, PEOPLE exclusively reveals. The 37-year-old will co-host Tactful Pettiness, with his best friend of 10 years, filmmaker Andrew Chappelle.
“Nobody’s doing a podcast right now, especially two really opinionated and outgoing gay men,” Rigsby says sarcastically with a laugh.
Calling it a “passion project,” Rigsby says the podcast — dropping June 20 on PodcastOne — is a natural transition for his career, especially alongside Chapelle.
“I’m always told that I’m a very funny person and have really great takes, and Andrew is one of the only people that I feel like meets me on my level,” Rigsby says.
“Our mission is to inspire confidence in our listeners,” says Chappelle. “The whole idea of Tactful Pettiness is to be your best self and inspire others to do so as well. It’s delivering hard truths with a soft touch.”

Rigsby expands on why he and Chappelle make a good team: “What I love about our friendship is that we can be shady to each other, but with intention of building each other up and trying to be the best versions of ourselves,” he adds. “So I’m really excited to take both of our energies and put it out into the podcast world.”
That sort of tough love and honesty is what the pair hope becomes the foundation of Tactful Pettiness as they discuss self love, relationships, hot takes on pop culture, chat with their celebrity friends and encourage listeners to not take life too seriously.
“Through my Peloton rides and through my book XOXO Cody, fans of mine have really gotten comfortable asking me life advice. And I think that’s really going to be a big cornerstone of this,” Rigsby explains. “I feel like sometimes people don’t have friends telling them the truth. They’re always telling them half truths or trying to make them feel good, even though the truth is going to hurt, but put them in the right direction.”
Chappelle further describes their non-nonsense approach: “It’s all in the spirit of love and delivered with light shade,” he says.

Ahead of the show’s premiere, Chapelle says he’s “overjoyed” to work with Rigsby. “Cody and I have been friends for ages,” he says. “We’ve cheered each other on throughout the many wins we’ve experienced in our professional lives. Our podcast is a great opportunity to give listeners a window into our colorful and honest friendship.”
Rigsby agrees that it will be a fun addition to the podcast space. “I’m just looking forward to having a platform where I can laugh, make people laugh, make people find a little bit of joy in their life, hopefully push them to be the best version of themselves and kind of do it in a new space that people haven’t seen,” Rigsby adds.
“Ultimately just laughing at ourselves,” he says. “There’s enough politics, there’s enough scary stuff in the world. Let’s giggle. Let’s make fun of ourselves. Let’s laugh at ourselves, and life will be a lot easier.”
