Madeline Gaudreau is honoring her late husband.
About two weeks after her husband, Matthew Gaudreau, died in a bike crash along with his brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, the widow shared a touching tribute to him.
On Friday, Sept. 13, Madeline — who is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child, Tripp — posted a sweet sunset shot of herself and Matthew sharing a kiss on the beach on Instagram.
She tagged her late husband in the photo and left him a simple message in the caption: “I love you so much.”
Johnny and Matthew died in a bike crash in Oldmans Township, N.J., close to their hometown of Salem County on Thursday, Aug. 29, PEOPLE previously confirmed. The brothers, who were 31 and 29, respectively, were reportedly in their hometown to serve as groomsmen in their sister Katie’s wedding on Friday, Aug. 30.
The pair were biking on Country Route 551 North just after 8 p.m. when a driver suspected to be under the influence of alcohol attempted to pass another car and fatally hit the brothers, New Jersey State Police previously told PEOPLE.
The driver, Sean M. Higgins, was charged with two counts of death by auto and arrested, and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
Days after the brothers’ deaths, Madeline said she will “keep going” for Matthew and their unborn baby boy.
Alongside a photo of herself with her late husband, which she posted on Instagram on Aug. 31, Madeline wrote, “I have no words. I just miss you. I don’t know my life without you. I have never experienced a pain like this. I am so blessed you chose me to be your wife… to love me. You are the best thing about me.”
“I know you are watching down in just as much pain as I am looking up. I will keep going for you and our son,” she continued. “I love you so much Matthew.”

Along with Madeline, who is due in December, Johnny’s widow, Meredith Gaudreau, is also pregnant.
At the brothers’ memorial service on Monday, Sept. 9, Meredith announced that she is nine weeks pregnant with her and Johnny’s third baby.
While speaking at the service, Madeline addressed her sister-in-law directly. “Meredith, I am so sorry that we will forever share this bond,” she said. “The boys could not have picked stronger women as wives and mothers of their children.”
“There is one person in this world that knows the exact feeling I am feeling, and that is you, and for that I am sorry. The loss of a husband, a father, our comfort,” she continued. “I promise I will always be there for you and the kids and that we will honor the lives of our husbands together, hand in hand, alongside their family and friends.”
