Tina Knowles is seemingly standing by her son-in-law Jay-Z.
Knowles, 70, was photographed alongside the “Empire State of Mind” rapper, 55, at the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King on Monday, Dec. 9, hours after sharing that her Instagram account — which liked an Instagram post discussing a rape allegation against Jay-Z — had been hacked.
In several pictures, the mother and son-in-law duo could be seen with an arm around each other as they stood next to Beyoncé, 43, and Blue Ivy, 12, who both star in the movie. The whole family was seen smiling for the cameras as they stood side-by-side.
Later on, Knowles and Jay-Z were seen walking into the movie theater together as they followed ushers who directed them to their seats. Knowles lead the way as the musician trailed closely behind her.
The family outing came a few hours after a verified Instagram account for Knowles “liked” an Instagram post from ABC 7 Chicago that showcased a photo of Jay-Z and Combs with the headline: “Breaking News: Jay-Z, Diddy Named in Lawsuit Alleging Rape of Girl, 13.”
She later wrote on Instagram that her account had been hacked. “As you all know, I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!” she wrote.
She captioned the post, “Please stop playing with me!!!! ‘No weapon formed against my family shall prosper,’ ” referencing a passage from the Bible.

Jay-Z was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs at an afterparty following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards in an amended complaint filed on Sunday, Dec. 8 — which was originally filed against Combs. The woman, who identified herself only as Jane Doe, said the musicians raped her, while a third, unnamed female celebrity watched.
Following the news, Jay-Z, who shares daughter Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir, 7, with Beyoncé, released a statement dismissing the allegations as a “blackmail attempt.” Combs has also denied all claims in the lawsuit. He is currently behind bars on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, and has a trial scheduled for May 2025.
In a statement shared to the official Roc Nation X (formerly Twitter) account, Jay-Z said, in part, “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
“You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same,” Jay-Z continued. “I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor.”
He concluded the statement noting, “I look forward to showing you just how different I am.”
Jay-Z’s attorney has reportedly filed paperwork requesting that a judge require Jane Doe to “reveal her identity if she wants to continue the lawsuit,” according to the Associated Press.
