Jason Kelce Shotguns Beers with Hecklers at His Charity Golf Tournament ArticlePure

Jason Kelce knows how to get hecklers on his side — and apparently all it takes is sharing a few beers.

During his charity golf tournament on June 17, Kelce was heckled by a few Philadelphia Eagles fans (whom he had invited to heckle him during an episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast earlier this month) — before he turned the moment around with a shotgunning contest.

Perhaps channeling his shirtless chugging at his brother Travis’ playoff game back in January, Kelce and the hecklers shotgunned beers together like old friends, which ended with handshakes all around. The moment, posted to the New Heights X (formally known as Twitter) page, quickly made its rounds on social media.

The tournament benefits Kelce’s (Be) Philly Foundation which “aims to to make it easier for all Philadelphians to improve our city and our communities by directly investing in our youth,” according to the foundation’s website.

Kelce announced his NFL retirement in March after 13 seasons, though the former Eagles star intends to stick around the city — and possibly the team.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen for me, but I do know I still want to be involved in the organization and still want to be a part of it, regardless of what the decision is,” Kelce told The Philadelphia Inquirer in January.

“Because I don’t want to ever feel like I’m on the outside looking in on these achievements and these accolades and these opportunities that largely represent entire cities and fan bases and organizations,” he continued. “It’s too good a feeling to pass up.”

For now, though, Kelce intends to get his NFL fix next season as an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast.
