Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s Ex Says He Misses Her on Their 3-Year Anniversary ArticlePure

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s estranged husband Ryan Anderson went on TikTok live Tuesday, July 2 — which he said was the three-year anniversary of when they first started dating.

Anderson revealed earlier in the day he got into a text argument with Blanchard’s current boyfriend, Ken Urker.

“Sorry, Gypsy for fighting with Ken over text,” Anderson said, addressing Blanchard directly, even though she did not appear to participate in the chat. “I did ask how you were because I am genuinely curious how you’re doing because we are going through the show thing and I am curious about you. Is what it is; I can’t help it. I do still care whether you want me to or not.”

The dissolution of Anderson and Blanchard’s relationship is playing out in the series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, currently airing on Lifetime.

Anderson admitted he was feeling nostalgic because Tuesday marked three years since they first met. “July 2nd, I shot fireworks off for her tonight like three years ago,” he recalled.

“Yeah, I need to move on but guys I have my moments where I miss her and today is one of them,” he admitted. “Because like I said I met her three years ago for the first time. We talked for a year and like a month before I got to meet her.”

Anderson and Blanchard began talking while she was still serving an eight-year prison sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee. They wed while Blanchard was behind bars and reunited when she was released in December 2023. Four months later, she filed for divorce.

“If Gypsy was just my girlfriend, I get a completely,” Anderson said in response to comments that he should move on. “But we were legit married for a year and eight months like. Communication between us really just stopped. Even after she left we talked a lot. So you know it’s hard for me. It’s hard for me now the show started that communication [between] us is not what it was. It’s difficult.”

After filing for divorce, Blanchard reconciled with Urker, her former fiancé, and the two are currently dating.

Anderson then talked about Urker during the livestream, insinuating that he reinserted himself into Blanchard’s life due to all the publicity she was receiving.

“That’s why you came back, fool,” Anderson said, addressing Urker, who did not appear to participate in the chat. “You saw all the attention she was getting.”

“I don’t like Ken,” Anderson then said emphatically. “He’s a punk.”

Anderson then said he would never talk bad about his ex and asked his supporters not to take sides.

“Do not be against Gypsy if you guys like me,” he pleaded. “I want y’all to support Gypsy. I think Gypsy’s great, Gypsy’s amazing. I still have all the love in the world for Gypsy. I’m not gonna say anything negative about her even if I want to or even if I feel like she deserves it … I have too much respect for her.”

Anderson removed his wedding ring two weeks after she filed for divorce, he said. He also revealed that he “went out” with a friend over the weekend but it was just platonic.

“We really did have a fun time, but I’m not ready to go there. I’m not ready to start anything guys. I’m still picking up the pieces. I’m just being honest. I need to heal before I start a new [relationship].

Last week, Blanchard posted her own Q&A. During the pre-taped video, she said she’s the happiest she’s ever been after filing for divorce back in April.

“Everyone should follow their heart if they know what they want in life and they know what’s going to make them happy. I absolutely feel like no matter what you should go for it,” she said.

Blanchard added, “Life is too dang short to be sad or feel trapped by anything in your life.”

For his part, Anderson teased that viewers will see more of what led to the end of their relationship as the show progresses.

Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup airs Mondays on Lifetime.
