Cameron Mathison is the proud father of a high school graduate!
The All My Children alum, 54, shared in an Instagram post on Saturday, June 15, that his daughter Leila graduated from high school.
The Instagram carousel kicked off with a photo of the father-daughter duo posing with bright smiles on their faces as Leila, 17, held up her diploma book. She wore a blue gown with a white lei around her neck and held a yellow rose, while the actor sported a blue suit jacket with matching pants.
He also shared a video of the moment Leila’s name was called and she walked up to get her diploma. Mathison could be heard cheering his daughter on loudly as she stepped up to the podium. A shot of her entire graduating class of 2024 was also featured in his post.
The rest of the carousel photos showed Leila celebrating the graduation with friends and family, including her brother Lucas, 21, who gave her a big hug. Mathison’s wife and the children’s mother, Vanessa Arevalo, also appeared in a group shot, with the family of four smiling big for the camera.
“A chapter closes and a new one begins as Leila graduates high school???,” Mathison captioned the celebratory post.

“Your dedication, resilience and passion have brought you to this moment, and I couldn’t be prouder,” he continued, paying tribute to Leila. “You amaze me every single day. I love you so much??.”
He concluded by celebrating “all the adventures that lie ahead?,” including a trip to France. He included the hashtags “proud dad,” “class of 2024” and “next stop Paris.”
Leila’s graduation comes two months after the soap star celebrated another one of the teen’s important chapters in life as she went off to prom. In April, the actor posted a series of photos on Instagram celebrating his daughter as she was all dressed up for her big night out.
“Senior Prom?,” he began his caption, accompanied by photos of the father-daughter pair posing outdoors.
“Leila, I want you to know that you are always on my mind and in my heart,” Mathison continued. “I’m so grateful for every moment I get to spend with you, and remember no matter where life takes you always know that you are loved beyond measure.”

A month later, Mathison got candid about becoming an empty nester, when Leila heads off to college.
“It’s tough,” he told PEOPLE in May. “My kids are older, my daughter’s leaving,”
“It’s the best thing in the world,” he added. “But at the same time, I don’t think I’m ready. I mean, you think you are. You’re like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be awesome,’ but I’m going to miss them.”
