Bill Belichick is siding with his girlfriend Jordon Hudson as she defends her alma mater’s cheerleading program.

In an Instagram Story shared by 24-year-old Hudson — a former cheerleader at Bridgewater State University — her boyfriend Belichick, 72, is seen sporting a Bridgewater cheerleading t-shirt.

Hudson put the hashtags “#DontPokeTheBears” and “#DemandingRespect” over the picture of Belichick holding up his hand to mimic a Bridgewater Bear claw.

Hudson wrote on the photo that the former New England Patriots coach is “on team BSU” amid her ongoing feud with radio host Winnie Akoury of “Billy & Lisa in the Morning” on Kiss 108.

Akoury, 31, slammed Bridgewater State’s cheerleading program during the morning show on Oct. 21, saying the squad is in Division III, “which isn’t even, like, competition level.”

Akoury then claimed, “I could have been a Bridgewater State cheerleader!”

Hudson quickly clapped back to the radio host, telling Akoury she “poked the bear” with her comments.

The former cheerleader challenged Akoury to follow up on her claim that she could make the team.

“And, since you are SO confident that you could make the team, (as you stated LIVE on the air (twice)); I’d love for you to bring a @Kiss108 camera crew to film your undeniable domination of our pathetic little DIII cheerleading program,” Hudson wrote in a post on Instagram.

In late June, PEOPLE confirmed that Belichick has been dating the former Bridgewater State University cheerleader for more than a year after the pair were spotted together on a number of occasions, sparking rumors of their romance.

In recent months, the pair has taken their relationship more public. Hudson shared photos from their romantic summer together in a post on Instagram that shows the former Patriots coach and his girlfriend looking loved up as they pose for selfies.

Their relationship follows the retired coach’s 16-year relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday. The former couple called it quits last September.

Belichick was previously married to Debby Clarke Belichick from 1977 to 2006. They share three children: sons Steve and Brian, and daughter Amanda.
