Ben Affleck is having a happy holiday season. 

Months after his ex Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce, Affleck, 52, is “healthy, single and enjoying life,” a source exclusively tells PEOPLE. 

As 2025 approaches, the actor-filmmaker is enjoying quality time with Violet Anne, 19 — on break from her first year at Yale University — as well as Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12, his kids shared with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

“Ben is spending the holiday with his children and is excited to have Violet home for break,” the insider tells PEOPLE.

Affleck and Garner, 52, have been spotted together this month after spending Thanksgiving as a family, when they and their kids served free meals to the Los Angeles homeless community at The Midnight Mission‘s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair.

Garner, who is dating businessman John Miller, “truly just wants her kids to be happy,” a source shared with PEOPLE. “She will continue to make sure that they spend time together as a family and include Ben… The kids enjoy when they all spend time together.”

Speaking to PEOPLE earlier this month, Garner said that cooking, seeing a production of The Nutcracker and “just being together with family” were among her priorities this holiday season. “I have one kid who specializes in mashed potatoes, that’s their specialty. I have one kid who is all about making an apple pie, that’s their specialty, and then I have one who goodness only knows what she will make,” the Deadpool & Wolverine star said.

Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck in August. The former couple, following an initial romance and engagement that ended in 2004, were married in July 2022. A source close to the actress-musician told PEOPLE that she “has had a rough year but is doing well. She’s ready for Christmas and to start the new year fresh.”

Affleck recently joined both Lopez and Garner at a school play featuring Seraphina and Lopez’s child Emme, per TMZ. The Oscar winner has been filming The Accountant 2, due in theaters April 25, 2025.

His other movie projects as a producer alongside Matt Damon are Unstoppable (in theaters now and streaming on Prime Video Jan. 16, 2025) and Kiss of the Spider Woman, which both star Lopez.
