American Airline Passengers Save Woman from Alleged Violent Male Companion ArticlePure

A woman was rescued from an alleged physical altercation with a male companion by passengers on a recent American Airlines flight.

The incident occurred during a flight from Miami to Charlotte, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

In a video posted by journalist Arjun Singh, who was aboard on the flight, on X (formerly Twitter), three men were seen leaning over the front two seats of the plane as they appeared to restrain a man sitting next to a woman in the alleged altercation.

“This evening, there was a violent incident on my @AmericanAir Flight AA 310 from Miami to Charlotte,” Singh wrote. “Several men jumped to subdue another man in first class, who entered an altercation with the lady next to him. The flight landed 26 minutes early, but we aren’t getting off soon.”

In the clip, one of the men helping the woman shouts at the male passenger, “Do not f—ing touch her again,” as a second man says, “Do not f—ing touch her! I don’t give a f—!”

“Get your f—ing hands off of her right now! You touch her again, you’re gonna get f—ing arrested, a——!” The first man shouts again.

“You f—ed up, you don’t f—ing touch her!” another man says. The men then let go of the male passenger and one of them asks the woman sitting next to him, “Are you all right?”

“Yeah,” she replies. “But he thinks because he’s a brain-affected man that [inaudible].” The passengers then urge the woman to move seats, and she sits in a seat on the next aisle.

“I’ve been assaulted now,” the male passenger says. The woman shouts back, “No, you weren’t assaulted! I put my hand over your mouth to make you shut up.”

The man yells back, “You slapped me!”

American Airlines responded in the comment section of the video, “Our first priority is the safety of the crew and our customers, and we take these matters very seriously.”

In a second video posted by Singh, an officer is seen speaking to staff on the plane before seeking witness accounts from passengers.
