All About NBA Draft Prospect Kon Knueppel’s 4 Brothers ArticlePure

Duke basketball star and top 2025 NBA Draft prospect, Kon Knueppel comes from a large Wisconsin family.

Kon is the oldest of five boys, which includes his brothers Kager, Kinston, Kash and Kid. They and their parents, Chari and Kon Knueppel Sr., have supported Kon at Duke, traveling from Milwaukee to Durham, N.C., to cheer him on during games.

Kon reached the Final Four of the NCAA Basketball Tournament as a freshman this past March with teammates Cooper Flagg and Khaman Maluauch, both of whom are also predicted to be drafted alongside Kon.

The Knueppel boys, who grew up playing basketball, come from athletic roots. Both of their parents played competitively in college and have encouraged their sons to take up the sport. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, they even have six basketball hoops in and around their house.

Here’s everything to know about Kon Knueppel’s brothers: Kager, Kinston, Kash and Kid.

The Knueppel siblings grew up in Milwaukee, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Kon, as well as Kager and Kinston, attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

Recently, the Knueppel family went along with Kon to throw out the first pitch at a Milwaukee Brewers game and cheer on their hometown team.

They inherited their athletic prowess from their parents

The Knueppel patriarch was in college when he was selected four times to the All-Lake Michigan Conference as a member of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men’s basketball team, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Chari, meanwhile, is the all-time scoring leader for the University of Wisconsin, where she played for the Green Bay Athletics women’s basketball team.

Chari and Kon Sr. have focused on supporting their sons with positivity.

In 2022, Kon Sr. told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that during his son’s recruitment process, he reminded him to “keep it fun.” During stressful times, Chari would emphasize support by saying, “We love you, we’re proud of you.”

Kager and Kinston are both currently playing together at Kon’s alma mater, Wisconsin Lutheran High School, while the youngest two, Kash and Kid, play together at St. John’s Lutheran, where they recently won the national Lutheran grade-school basketball tournament, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Kager is already being scouted

Kager, the second oldest of the Knueppel brothers, has already caught the attention of scouts. Kager, who stands around 6-foot-8, played with Kon at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

According to Sports Illustrated, Kager received his first D1 basketball offer from the University of Toledo in December 2024.

Playing at Kon’s former high school may not be the only alma mater of his big brother Kager attends. At a travel team game in May, Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball head coach Jon Scheyer stopped by to watch Kager alongside scouts from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Athlon Sports reported in May 2025.

The whole Knueppel family has traveled from Milwaukee down to Durham to cheer on Kon at Duke.

Per the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Chari said she set her sights on frequently cheering on her son in the stands. “Never crossed my mind not to go to every one,” she told the outlet in April 2025.

Between their own games and school, Kager, Kinston, Kash and Kid have also made the journey to support their big brother in person.

Kon and his siblings could follow in their dad and uncle’s footsteps

Though the Knueppel brothers have already played together in high school and middle school, shooting hoops as professionals could carry on a certain family tradition.

Kon Sr. and his brothers, Klint, Klay and Kole, all played together in a national 3-on-3 tournament and were known as the “Flying Knueppel Brothers.”

It could be only a matter of time before basketball fans see multiple Knueppel brothers on the court together as professionals.
