’90 Day Fiancé’ Star Big Ed ‘Had Girls Taking Pictures with Him All Night’ at Restaurant ArticlePure

Big Ed Brown is keeping busy amid his broken engagement with Porscha Raemond.

The 90 Day Fiancé star, 59, was spotted eating at New York hotspot Robkes on Sunday, Sept. 22 — hours before announcing that he and Porscha, 29, had called things off.

Owner Louie Sel tells PEOPLE that the TLC star “took pictures with everyone” and wanted a t-shirt to “promote the restaurant.”

“He loves the food. He had girls taking pictures with him all night. It was a scene,” says Sel.

PEOPLE confirmed on Tuesday, Sept. 17, that Big Ed and Porscha got engaged within 24 hours of meeting in Plantation, Fla., at a fan meet and greet event. News of their split came via a statement posted on Big Ed’s Instagram Stories on Monday, Sept. 23.

“Hey everyone, I want to take a moment to address some recent developments in my personal life. As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment. After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I’ve realized that rushing into this decision wasn’t the right move. I have nothing but respect and love for Porscha and I wish her the best moving forward. Thanks, as always, for sticking with me,” the statement read.

Big Ed also addressed the split in a separate video, telling his fans that “love is a crazy thing.”

“I did something that was impulsive, I asked this girl to marry me and after considering… It’s too soon and it’s not really what I want, obviously,” he said. “After talking to my family, I realized that I don’t wanna get married. I wanna be single. So I wish her – Porscha – the best in life,” he said.

While discussing their engagement in a previous interview with Page Six, Big Ed said the two immediately “hit it off” when they first met, leading to them making dinner plans for the next night at YOLO restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

This was Big Ed’s fourth shot at love.

The reality television star was previously married to Sandra Heckman, with whom he shares a daughter named Tiffany. They got divorced in 1992.

Big Ed was then engaged to Rose Vega, who fans met on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in 2020.

His third engagement was with Elizabeth “Liz” Woods, with whom he ended his engagement on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.
